The Story of Jane Goodall

A Biography Book for New Readers

The Story of Jane Goodall: A Biography Book for New Readers (The Story Of: A Biography Series for New Readers) introduces young readers to the life of an amazing scientist. Jane Goodall has been a nature lover all of her life, and her drive to become a scientist propelled her to becoming the most important chimpanzee expert in the world.

Curiosity for Nature

As a young girl, Jane began showing an interest in nature study. She eventually traveled to Africa as a young woman and began her work with chimpanzees. Jane made discoveries that nobody had ever known, but her ideas were often discounted because she was a woman. With the guidance of a mentor, she earned her doctorate. Along with the support of the National Geographic Society, Dr. Goodall’s discoveries were shared with the world.

Jane Goodall’s groundbreaking work became her life’s passion and has inspired people all over the world to have a greater respect for nature.

The Story of Jane Goodall includes sweet illustrations, beautiful graphics, a timeline, quiz questions, and a glossary. This biography is ideal for children in grades 2-5, ESL students, or older struggling readers. Young girls interested in science will especially love this story!

The publisher provided a copy of The Story of Jane Goodall, but I was not required to write a review. These are my honest opinions about a resource that I use in my homeschool.
