Are you living a nourished life?
Mother/daughter team Becky Johnson and Rachel Randolph help readers tackle the Top 10 Stressors that women face daily in their new collaboration Nourished: A Search for Health, Happiness, and a Fill Night’s Sleep. The publisher sent me a review copy so I could share this book with you. As a busy working mom, I can relate to the topics this book addresses, like crowded schedules, clutter, exhaustion, relationship issues, and body image. The authors write in a conversational style, like sitting down with a friend over coffee, as they take turns writing sections in each chapter from their different perspectives: a busy young mom with a toddler in tow, and an empty nester with adult kids returning to the nest.
Nourished is not a typical self-help book in that the authors spend a lot of time sharing their own stories of successes and failures, and how they each came to realize the need to carve out time to nourish themselves, both for their own health and happiness and for the benefit of their families. They provide practical tips for things like menu planning and exercise, as well as specific organizing advice, which I find very helpful.
If you are a busy mom (what mom isn’t?), and you need your batteries recharged, set aside some time to read Nourished. You will come away feeling like you have a plan for making yourself a priority so you can set feelings of overwhelm aside.Share this:
