Bible Journaling with the Beautiful Word Bible
I haven’t tried Bible jounaling yet, but I’ve seen so many beautiful examples of it on Instagram, that I was looking forward to getting the NIV Beautiful Word Bible. The format of this Bible is really beautiful, with wide pages featuring one-column verses, 500 verses illustrated in full color–some in the margin and some highlighted on full pages, and extra lines and room in the margins for your own drawings, notes, or artwork. The featured artwork is a result of the collaboration of seven different artists, whose styles merge beautifully, yet whose range will appeal to different tastes.
The Beautiful Words Bible is hefty, but I’m able to pick it up comfortable with one hand, so it’s easy to take it along to the coffee shop with some color pencils for some creative mommy time. The font of the text of the Bible is large enough to be easily readable on high-quality paper. My favorite part of this Bible is the space provided so there’s room to journal and draw without covering the text.
The illustrated verses are inspiring to look at and reflect on.
Other details include a dedication page, alphabetical list of the books of the Bible, table of weights and measures, and an index of all the artwork and the artists who drew them. This Bible is pretty enough to entice me to open it throughout the day, especially when I need some encouragement. It also provides a nice creative outlet for a busy woman.
The publisher provided a review copy of NIV Beautiful Word Bible.
