New Year Bucket List Printable

January 1, 2022 by Anne Campbell 6 Comments

The new year means new beginnings and a time for starting new traditions. There are so many things you can do to make the new year special–the possibilities are endless! Our new year bucket list of ideas are mostly things that are free to do or cost very little.

This printable activity is a great way to find things to do together as a family. You can do the activities in any order you choose. These ideas are meant to serve as sparks for you to expand on, and you can skip or adapt them to suit your kids’ ages and interests. Take an idea and switch out one word, like trading “game” night for “movie” night or starting a “writing” journal instead of a “nature” journal. Make it yours!

With ideas for activities for the winter season, you will find it difficult to run out of things to do with this bucket list! Post your list at your family’s command center, and mark off the items as you go. At the end of the season, look back and reflect on all of your adventures. Psst–many of these will fulfill “school credit” in your homeschool planner. Keep a log of your experiences. And, some of these activities are open-ended for you to continue as often as you can.

In our homeschool, the winter doldrums often set in around mid-January. I have found it helpful to have some special activities for the kids to choose when we need a change of pace or a break from “regular” schoolwork.

This is great and I really MUST get that family photo taken! I think the last family photo even my oldest still had most of his baby teeth; it’s been ages!
