Bring the Camp-Out Indoors
My boys love to go camping, but it’s hot as blazes outside, and this mommy just isn’t man enough to brave it all night long. So, we’re bringing the camp-out indoors for some playtime fun!
Grab the art supplies, break out the tent and pull up a stuffed animal or two. This week the Little Passports blog includes week 4 of the Camp Explorer series, and it is an absolutely adorable craft! Camp indoors with Little Passports’ DIY campfire and your little explorer! Of course, you must top off this indoor adventure with a few s’mores!
Our favorite s’mores recipe is less messy than the original:
Break graham crackers into small rectangles. Place on baking pan and top with a few mini marshmallows and a sprinkle of chocolate chips. Place under the broiler until melted–keep an eye on them: they don’t take long. Serve with a cold glass of milk. A delicious playtime snack!
We love to camp, but sometimes our schedules or the weather don’t allow us the time to escape to the great outdoors. Our solution? Camp indoors with a DIY campfire! Allow the kiddos to use their imagination as you pitch a living room tent and build a faux DIY campfire in 4 easy steps. Click over to the Little Passports Blog to see how to make these fun “campfires” with a few recycled materials.
