Learning Table on Etsy: Graduation and Teacher Gift Ideas

**Through May 31st, take 15% off any order with code: DADSANDGRADS

Our brand new Etsy shop is open for business. At Learning Table Shop, we are taking custom orders for hand turned wood pens and chalk holders, available in a variety of wood and color choices. Check out our shop for more details, and follow us while you’re there so we can keep in touch as we add more items. Other pen styles and handmade jewelry pieces are coming soon!

Whether you’re looking for a unique graduation and teacher gift, or something special for another occasion, these one-of-a-kind handmade items have character and charm and are heirloom quality.

We will custom make your beautiful hand turned wood pen, an heirloom for yourself or for someone special.

We will be sharing more details about how these items are crafted in future articles. Some of the wood types we work with include:

  • African Blackwood
  • Bolivian Rosewood
  • Bubinga
  • Camelthorne
  • Lacewood
  • Olivewood
  • Tamboti

Pens are hand crafted on the lathe and finished using a 25-step process, and then cured for 24 hours before assembly. Each pen is hand shaped to bring out the beauty of the wood grain. The finishing process is designed to create a seal that will hold up over time and keep the beauty of the wood intact.

The pens are beautiful and I think I’m going to paint my office door in chalkboard paint just so I can give someone a reason to buy me one of the chalk holders!

These are beautiful! They would make a great gift for Mother’s Day and a gift idea for Father’s Day, too. I hope your Etsy shop does well. I need to update mine.

I just received my pen as part of the giveaway and I honestly don’t know if I can use it for a grad gift. It’s absolutely beautiful with the wood grain and gold trim. I love how it has some substantial weight to it and it writes so smoothly. I may be keeping this for myself.
