Little Passports has just launched FREE resources for homeschooling families!

Little Passports has just developed study guides for the first 6 months of their World Edition subscription. These digital guides are free to download and provide resources for integrating subscription materials into your lesson plans. They include engagement activities, bonus content, pop-quizzes and printables. What an amazing way to supplement your lesson plans!

Click here to access Little Passports’ FREE resources for homeschooling families!  Scroll down until you see the “In The Classroom: link, where you’ll find free lesson plan guides for Brazil, Japan, France, Egypt, Australia, and more. These resources are a fun and easy way to supplement your history and literature studies, in addition to bringing hands-on activities to your geography lessons.

How to Use These Lesson Plans

The teacher guides include links to videos, music, and other helpful sites. The vocabulary page is a wonderful tool for crossing the curriculum with your geography course. We like to use the words to do a ‘story starter’ activity. We review the words and their meanings, and then I give my son three random words to incorporate in a story. Then it’s his turn to pick three words for me. Then It’s my turn again. We do this round robin story until we run out of words. It’s fun to create a story together, and it’s a great way to reinforce the vocabulary words with him. For an extra challenge, he will add some of the unfamiliar vocabulary words to his spelling list.

I am not so good at world geography unfortunately. Right now we are doing U.S. History, so we are working on states, but I had a hard time when we were doing our “intro to the world” history 2 years ago to keep the littles attention as to where we were talking about. We will try again when we go for round 2!

I was never good at geography until I revisited it with my kids! 😉

What a wonderful addition by adding HE resources!
One great thing about HE is that you can always come back to a topic at a later time when everyone is interested 🙂
