Blessed Garden Bible (International Children’s Bible)

Adorable Vintage Design

The ICB Blessed Garden Bible is an adorable children’s Bible with a vintage feel. It features woodland animals and a floral scheme throughout the 24 special color pages with the full International Children’s Bible translation. Other features include:

  • 365 Key highlighted verses
  • Bible study helps
  • bold dictionary words in the text
  • dictionary
  • concordance.

This Bible reminds me of the illustrations from classic children’s books and has the look of a vintage diary. The embossed cover has sparkle and shiny gold and silver accents, with cute birds and critters hidden among the floral vines. Its size is just right for holding in one hand or for bedtime reading–not too hefty, but not so compact that it is hard to read. The teal color scheme is such a pretty backdrop for the colorful nature illustrations.

Especially for Young Readers

Girls especially will be drawn to the design and will feel like they are holding something really special (which they are)! Not only is the full ICB text of the Bible included, but the large fonts and bold headings make it especially readable.

The ICB version is written for young readers with clear and simple vocabulary, shorter sentences, and footnotes and dictionary references for more challenging words. The two-column format is also easier to keep track of. The language flows so nicely, even though it has been revised, so young readers still get immersed in God’s story without any omissions:

Respect the Lord you God. Do what he has told you to do. Love him. Serve the Lord your God with oyru whole being. And obey the Lord’s commends and laws (Deuteronomy 10:12).

Some of the bonus interactive pages have space for writing in the child’s family history and favorite verses. There are also full-color maps, timelines, and Bible study helps. The Names of God, The Disciples, and Kids in the Bible are just a few of these helpful tools. As a homeschooling mom who includes a lot of nature study in our curriculum, this Bible is the perfect addition to our Bible study time.
