Fall beckons us to go outside and enjoy the beautiful cool weather and the changes in nature all around us. When we take a moment or two to observe and experience the wonder of it all, inspiration always appears.
Fall Nature Journal
Keeping a fall nature journal can be as simple as a pre-made notebook or sketchbook and a pack of colored pencils.
Younger kids can do leaf and bark rubbings, while older kids and teens might produce more detailed drawings. The main idea is that anything goes, and these journals aren’t graded. Nature study is a wonderful way to spend time together and have everyone working on the same activity. If you haven’t discovered this yet, I urge you to incorporate it into your day, whether you homeschool or just want make the best of after school time.
Developing a love and respect for God’s beautiful creation and all the critters in it is our only goal.
