This means that weight loss is just one factor in a myriad of ingredients to gaining and keeping a healthy lifestyle. Changing habits in a way that sticks for life takes time and dedication. For me, the best thing about Trim Healthy Mama Plan: The Easy-Does-It Approach to Vibrant Health and a Slim Waistline is that the authors have done the research and written it all down so I don’t have to spend a lot of time hunting down information. They address the idea that simple is best, good food is in, and putting a band-aid on health issues isn’t the answer. Getting to the root of problems like high blood sugar and low thyroid makes much more sense for the long haul.

The Trim Healthy Mama Plan book is dense and packed with lots of information, but it is well-organized and easy to follow. After reading all the way through, marking and highlighting specific areas, the book has become a manual–my textbook for healthy living. Along with the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook, the plan fits into my daily meal planning with ease. A bonus is that this plan really is family-friendly, and I can prepare the same meal for the entire family.

I have a friend who has inspired me on her journey and lost over 50 pounds on this plan within the past year. Making lifestyle changes is tough, and as critics have pointed out, sugar is a big no-no on this plan. But, you can’t expect to continue drinking sodas and energy drinks and gain any type of healthy change. The best thing about the plan is that other than a few obvious items on the naughty list, the plan isn’t about deprivation. Once you figure out what works for you, the Satisfying and Energizing meals make you feel so good, the lifestyle change becomes real.

    I agree, life changes need to be made rather than temporary diets, not only for weight loss, but overall health and happiness. Sounds like this is a good book for healthy living
